Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Biller and Coder to join our team at Bay Dermatology and Cosmetic. As a key member of our medical billing department, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile and analyze patient data to ensure accurate coding and billing
  • Utilize automated encoder/grouper programs to code diagnoses and procedures
  • Abstract key data elements from patient records for data reporting purposes
  • Research and appeal denied claims to ensure maximum reimbursement
  • Process accounts receivable and payable, including remits and credit card payments
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information and billing data
Requirements
  • Completion of an approved coding certificate program
  • 1+ years of recent experience coding in a dermatology or medical care setting
  • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required
  • Previous experience in medical billing, finance, or other related fields
  • Experience in data entry and analysis
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
