Position Requirements
Education:
Completion of a nursing diploma or degree from an accredited institution, with licensure in the State of Tennessee.
Experience:
A minimum of one year of experience in a medical office setting is required.
Skills:
Proficiency in using clinical equipment such as glucometers, blood pressure cuffs, thermometers, and various medications, along with strong computer skills.
Physical Requirements
The role requires the ability to sit, stand, communicate effectively in English, and lift items weighing over 20 pounds.
Performance Expectations
The Clinical Nursing Specialist will be expected to:
- Accurately document patient medical histories and vital signs.
- Administer immunizations and injections as necessary.
- Provide counseling to patients on health-related matters.
- Manage clinical supplies and pharmaceuticals efficiently.
- Coordinate referrals to other medical services and secure consultations with specialists.
- Address patient inquiries through phone calls and patient portal messages.
- Ensure quality assurance for office lab procedures and assist physicians during office and surgical procedures.
