Position Overview:

As a vital member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical customer service department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing all orders for completeness and accuracy.
  • Interpreting prescriptions with precision.
  • Verifying patient details and ensuring proper physician authorization.
  • Checking orders for insurance approvals.
  • Calculating dosage volumes accurately, converting between measurement systems.
  • Assisting pharmacists in the safe distribution of medications and providing pharmaceutical care.
  • Entering and processing new prescriptions in compliance with pharmacy regulations.
  • Managing prescription refills, including confirmation and documentation.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Processing all orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Assisting in the upkeep of software templates.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Providing support for phone inquiries.
  • Adhering to all relevant government regulations, including HIPAA.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in medical and pharmacy services.
  • Typing speed of 35+ words per minute.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in data intake.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and excellent multitasking abilities.
