About the Fixed Income Division:

This division is tasked with the research, management, and trading of all fixed income instruments, along with the execution of currency transactions. The Fixed Income Research team comprises analysts and associates who evaluate the creditworthiness of issuers and securities under consideration for acquisition or currently held in our portfolios. They assess industry dynamics, borrower fundamentals, and debt structure considerations, making informed buy-hold-sell recommendations based on market value assessments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior analysts in conducting credit evaluations of various municipal bonds, including timely recommendations for new issues and ongoing surveillance of existing holdings.
  • Gather financial data and pertinent information from issuer financial statements, rating agency analyses, sector studies, and other sources to support the development of financial models and credit/investment reports.
  • Collaborate with analysts and portfolio managers to deepen understanding of the fundamental drivers affecting assigned sectors and their implications for the broader Fixed Income markets.
  • Engage in teamwork with Research Associates, Analysts, and Portfolio Managers.
  • Take on additional projects and responsibilities as needed.


Qualifications:

  • One to three years of relevant experience, preferably in a buy-side role, rating agency, or similar environment.
  • A bachelor's degree with a strong interest in pursuing a career in fixed income and municipal research.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to collect, synthesize, and present information concisely.
  • Proficient in both written and verbal communication.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Capable of managing complex projects independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for modeling and data management.
