POSITION SUMMARY
As a key player in the municipal bonds sector, you will be responsible for executing trades on behalf of MFS funds and clients, while actively participating in the overall trading and investment strategy at MFS Investment Management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct trades in both primary and secondary markets, ensuring adherence to required programs.
  • Manage execution processes and maintain effective communication with the investment team.
  • Research, analyze, and disseminate pertinent market insights and trading opportunities to the investment team.
  • Enhance MFS trading capabilities by adapting to changing market dynamics, technological advancements, and trading methodologies.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments across the organization, including operations, compliance, client services, and the broader trading team.
  • Build and sustain robust internal and external relationships to fulfill the responsibilities outlined above.
  • Adhere to MFS policies and procedures, including best execution practices and trade allocation.
  • Take on additional duties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in trading or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of municipal markets and investment strategies.
  • Familiarity with order management systems, electronic trading platforms, and traditional voice trading methods.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and sound decision-making capabilities.
