A prominent financial organization is seeking to enhance its team with a new Equity Research Analyst specializing in quantitative methods.
As a vital member of the quantitative equity division, the Equity Research Analyst will engage in the evaluation and refinement of current strategies while also innovating new stock-selection frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
The Equity Research Analyst will:
Conduct comprehensive alpha factor investigations for global equity strategies by generating innovative investment concepts and performing thorough quantitative assessments. Utilize statistical analysis and modeling techniques combined with financial insights to analyze both extensive and limited datasets, improve existing models, and explore new research avenues. Examine global financial markets alongside industry-specific and macroeconomic data to predict business, industry, and economic trends to inform investment choices. Undertake additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quantitative Research or Portfolio Management within Active Equity Strategies.
- Advanced degree from a reputable institution.
- Strong foundation in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computational Science, and Engineering.
- Proficient in fundamental economic quantitative research methodologies.
- In-depth understanding of theoretical and empirical alpha factor research, forecasting techniques, and portfolio construction methodologies.
- Familiarity with financial statements and regulatory documentation.
- Extensive knowledge of quantitative alpha source research, modeling, and portfolio optimization.
- Experience working with large datasets, employing statistical and numerical methods, including machine learning.
- Knowledge of financial and macroeconomic databases.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential.
Desired Skills:
- Ph.D. in a relevant field.
