Medical Billing Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Billing Call Center Representative to join our team at ASK Consulting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing prior authorization and drug benefit exception requests on behalf of Aetna, following Medicare Part D CMS regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service via inbound calls.
- Accurately document reviews in a timely manner.
- Transfer escalations, clinical questions, and judgment calls to the pharmacist team.
- Assist with outbound calls, prior authorization reviews (fax and ePA), and monitoring department mailboxes.
- Complete other duties as assigned by leadership.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Proficient computer skills in a Windows-based environment.
- Adaptability in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
- Ability to project a professional business image and handle internal communications.
- Problem-solving skills with a demonstrated sense of urgency.
- Strong telephone skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and analyze pharmacy/medical terminology, business correspondence, technical procedures, and government regulations.
- Basic math and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to meet quality and production standards.
