Role Synopsis

The Customer Engagement Associate collaborates with sales, customer service, and engineering teams to fulfill customer requests efficiently.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with engineering and external sales to assess customer bid technical specifications for quoting, including reviewing drawings.
  • Identify product and service needs in collaboration with customers.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with current and prospective clients.
  • Ensure precise order entry into the ERP system.
  • Collaborate with operations and supply chain to deliver accurate information for managing customer accounts, including on-time delivery and order expediting.
  • Support document control by confirming customer documentation requirements.
  • Guarantee export compliance through accurate shipping documentation and understanding of customer export needs.
  • Maintain a professional interface with both potential and existing clients.
  • Promptly acknowledge and respond to customer inquiries, orders, standard quotations, terms and conditions, and delivery status.
  • Monitor open orders for delivery status and necessary maintenance.
  • Assist in resolving complaints by working with the Customer Service Manager for effective solutions.
  • Contribute to the preparation of product support materials and promotional content aligned with Sales Department objectives.
  • Oversee and manage special projects.

Qualifications/Work Experience

Education

Essential
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field from an accredited institution.
Experience/Skills

Essential
  • Up to four (4) years of experience in order entry or customer service.
  • Familiarity with transportation and logistical compliance, including incoterms.
  • Exceptional office communication and customer service abilities.
  • Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficient in PC-based software tools, including ERP systems, MS Office, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse skill sets.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
