Key Responsibilities:

The Operational Process Specialist plays a crucial role in leading the S&OP Project team, focusing on the development and execution of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) S&OP model. This position involves overseeing the S&OP process, ensuring that each step is executed efficiently and aligns with established S&OP principles. The Specialist serves as the process expert, leveraging their knowledge to achieve desired outcomes. Collaboration with the Executive Process Owner (EPO) and Operational Process Owner (OPO) is essential to enhance process design and promote adherence to best practices.

Core Duties:

  • Facilitates the implementation and enhancement of process steps, ensuring that necessary decision support and performance metrics are gathered and communicated for each S&OP cycle.
  • Co-leads Demand and Supply Step meetings alongside the Demand Planner and Supply Planner.
  • Monitors performance metrics and facilitates discussions regarding these metrics within each process step.
  • Prepares communication materials for Integrated Reconciliation and Management Business Review meetings, serving as the facilitator for these sessions.
  • Establishes and maintains the S&OP Calendar, coordinating with Step coordinators to ensure timely scheduling of all S&OP meetings.
  • Develops a comprehensive S&OP documentation repository, ensuring all team members have access to essential information for their roles.
  • Ensures that communication decks for process steps are distributed in advance of meetings and that meeting notes are shared promptly.
  • Collaborates with Step coordinators to enforce accountability within the process.
  • Creates and maintains a process performance scorecard, implementing a structured approach to gather feedback during the startup and implementation phases.
  • Ensures adherence to effective meeting practices, including agendas and action logs.
  • Develops a systematic approach for identifying and documenting issues to enhance accountability and decision-making.
  • Monitors S&OP decisions to ensure alignment with organizational strategy, alerting the EPO or OPO to any potential strategic shifts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Process and Project Management is preferred.
  • Project Management Certification or progress towards certification.
  • Strong understanding of business process management concepts.
  • Experience with IBP and S&OP processes is a plus.

This role is primarily office-based, requiring collaboration with various levels of associates within the organization. Occasional travel may be necessary for customer interactions or professional development.
