JOB SUMMARY:
The Operations Transfer Coordinator will facilitate collaboration between the Manufacturing and Development teams, ensuring the successful launch of new Assays, Reagents, and Bulk materials utilized in tissue diagnostics. This role is crucial in meeting operational requirements from a manufacturability, quality, cost, and scheduling perspective. The application of project management expertise, lean manufacturing methodologies, process engineering, and rigorous scientific principles is vital for the seamless integration of new products into existing manufacturing workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate and implement manufacturing best practices at the site, ensuring that core project teams are informed of minimum requirements for manufacturability and scalability.
- Act as the primary Operations project liaison, ensuring that the needs of all stakeholders—including Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Quality, and Procurement—are understood and addressed throughout the transfer process.
- Adopt and enhance Technology Transfer standard procedures to continuously refine the transfer process.
- Utilize project management techniques to plan, monitor, and ensure the timely execution of transfer initiatives.
- Develop expertise in site manufacturing processes to foster, train, and enhance Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure successful transfer activities.
- Incorporate manufacturing requirements into development projects to guarantee effective technical transfer by providing input during the design phase.
- Execute Validation protocols with support from other Technical Transfer Specialists, adhering to Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) and standards for transferred products.
- Engage in cross-functional teams to ensure that the objectives of the technology transfer project are met, establishing partnerships across various organizational groups as necessary.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues, participate in transfer planning, and update processes as needed. Prepare and present project results to diverse audiences.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities may include collaborating with leadership and team members on various project coordination and planning activities, such as:
- Maintaining resource and task activity sheets.
- Scheduling and facilitating planning meetings.
- Monitoring and coordinating project assignments and timelines.
- Identifying resource and priority conflicts.
- Participating in workflow standardization and implementing efficiency projects.
- Maintaining best practices.
- Exploring and applying project management tools.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each responsibility effectively. The following qualifications are essential:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology or Life Sciences with 1-3 years of relevant experience; or a Master's Degree in the same fields with 0-2 years of experience.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated potential for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, and collaborative teamwork.
- Basic understanding of assay, bulk, and reagent manufacturing processes, with the ability to apply scientific methods in production.
- Advanced technical writing skills for report and document preparation.
- Capability to apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies during the development phase.
- Familiarity with systems such as SAP and ETQ.
Pay Rate: $27-32/Hr *Salary will be commensurate with candidate experience
