Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician II Certified to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical pharmacists in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Assist pharmacists with medication histories, train new technicians, and prepare drug orders according to established policies and protocols.
  • Operational Duties: Verify patient medication records, compound pharmaceuticals, issue controlled substances, and maintain accurate records.
  • Clinical Duties: Ensure safe and effective drug therapies, detect and report adverse drug reactions, and provide accurate drug information to patients and healthcare teams.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement activities, collect data, and conduct monitoring and inspections to maintain high standards of care.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of pharmacy technician experience preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of practice required, Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred, and ACPE accredited IV certification program.
