Role Responsibilities and Qualifications

We are in search of a Registered Nurse - NICU to join our facility, ensuring that we maintain high standards of quality and efficient patient care. Our team is dedicated to supporting one another, and we are looking for an outstanding addition who shares our commitment to meaningful patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for assigned patients in the NICU and Newborn Nursery.
  • Contributing to the development and execution of policies and procedures for the NICU that facilitate service delivery.
  • Ensuring compliance with the standards of practice for Level II and Level III NICU, while managing all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment.
  • Engaging in activities aimed at planning, measuring, assessing, and enhancing the quality of patient care.
  • Conducting neonatal assessments for NICU and Newborn Nursery patients.
  • Providing nursing care for NICU and Newborn Nursery patients.
  • Performing gestational age evaluations.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in the use of equipment utilized in the department.
  • Participating in mandatory educational activities for the unit.
  • Involvement in the discharge process, including educating parents.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required or must be currently enrolled.
  • Current RN license in Texas and/or current Compact License.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification is required.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • STABLE certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of current NICU experience is required, or participation in a training program if available.
