Radiology Imaging Specialist

Job Summary

This role involves performing radiographic imaging procedures at a technical level, requiring independent judgment and initiative. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of imaging principles and be able to analyze results to identify quality issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures, ensuring accurate and high-quality results.
  • Review patient history and physician orders, educating patients on procedures and equipment as needed.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice, monitoring patient condition and reporting changes as necessary.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies, selecting appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters to ensure optimal results.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) Radiography certification required within 12 months of hire.
  • CPR – American Heart Association certification.
  • Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 clearance certificates.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior radiology experience.
