Correctional Health Services LPN

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at New York City Health + Hospitals Correctional Health Services. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of medical services in our correctional facilities.
Job Summary:The LPN will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and medication administration. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, as well as participating in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
Responsibilities:- Monitor patients' vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
- Assist with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene of patients
- Collect and process blood and urine samples for testing
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
- Document patient care information accurately and thoroughly
- Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
