Position Overview

The Surgical Services Associate Technician plays a vital role in the Operating Room and Surgical Services Department, engaging in essential tasks such as preparing and sanitizing patient areas and surgical suites, ensuring the safe transfer of patients, and managing the retrieval, decontamination, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment. Responsibilities also include maintaining inventory of general supplies and assisting in the preparation of surgical materials prior to procedures.

Qualifications Required:

  • Current enrollment in a Surgical Technology Program.
  • Possession of a National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) upon hire.
