Position Overview
Become a vital part of our team at Providence Health & Services as a Lead Surgical Support Specialist. In this essential role, you will play a crucial part in upholding the sterile environment, managing the distribution of surgical instruments, and ensuring that aseptic protocols are meticulously adhered to in order to avert contamination. You may also serve as a secondary scrub or primary assistant when necessary, providing support to the Registered Nurse with their circulating responsibilities.
Essential Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent training through the Armed Services Surgical Technology program
- Certification as a National Certified Surgical Technologist from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or as a National Tech in Surgery - Certified from the National Center for Competency Testing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
