Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for medical appointments by collecting and recording clinical information, responding to patient phone calls, and documenting patient interactions.
  • Manage patient care according to approved protocols and scheduling guidelines.
  • Document all patient interactions and clinical activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
  • Schedule tests, treatments, and follow-up visits on behalf of patients, and assist patients with identifying suitable outside resources and services.
  • Monitor task lists to respond to patient phone calls and follow up on overdue orders and critical referrals.
  • Adhere to all patient safety standards and infection control guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth office operations and delivery of excellent patient service.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is a plus.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • BLS certification.
