We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at First Choice Health Centers. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing direct care services to patients, including patient engagement and care coordination.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for medical appointments by collecting and recording clinical information, responding to patient phone calls, and documenting patient interactions.
- Manage patient care according to approved protocols and scheduling guidelines.
- Document all patient interactions and clinical activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
- Schedule tests, treatments, and follow-up visits on behalf of patients, and assist patients with identifying suitable outside resources and services.
- Monitor task lists to respond to patient phone calls and follow up on overdue orders and critical referrals.
- Adhere to all patient safety standards and infection control guidelines.
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth office operations and delivery of excellent patient service.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is a plus.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant.
- BLS certification.
