Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Community Health Services, Inc. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing administrative and clinical support services to our nurses and providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to our nursing and provider teams, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and performing various administrative tasks.
  • Clinical Support: Assist with clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and performing basic medical procedures.
  • Patient Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Electronic Health Records: Accurately document patient information in our electronic health record system.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assisting or nursing program a plus.
  • Certifications: CPR certification at the healthcare provider level or eligible to obtain certification.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Three years of medical assisting experience, with prior experience in a clinic or hospital setting strongly preferred.
  • Language Skills: Written and oral proficiency in Spanish or other languages a plus.
Working Conditions

This role operates in a professional office environment with potential exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions in a health center environment.
