Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at ECHN. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and prepare them for physician examination, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Keep patient information up-to-date and accurate, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, preparing specimens, and processing lab results.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices.
  • Perform various clinical tasks, including EKGs, spirometry, and vaccine administration, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and safety standards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant certification or experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs).
