Nephrology Clinical Assistant Job Description

At Advocate Aurora Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nephrology Clinical Assistant to join our team. As a Clinical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for exams by obtaining vital signs and gathering pertinent health information.
  • Monitor and complete Clinical Integration/Quality Improvement measures.
  • Perform laboratory procedures using principles of aseptic technique and standard precautions.
  • Assist physicians with procedures such as pelvic exams and allergy scratch testing.
  • Administer routine medications under physician orders.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
Requirements:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate electronic medical records systems.
