As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our community and ensuring our residents enjoy a safe, well-maintained, and visually appealing environment. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the property, grounds, and equipment in a safe and orderly manner. A successful candidate will be self-driven, deliver exceptional customer service, and take great pride in their work. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct various maintenance tasks including preventative maintenance, service requests, grounds upkeep, capital improvements, and turnover maintenance as required.
  • Respond promptly to service requests, providing updates on the status of each task.
  • Manage inventory and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the maintenance workshop.
  • Diagnose and execute maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks, covering HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, carpentry, drywall, painting, roofing, siding, door locks, glass repairs, flooring, tile work, and fencing.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Deliver outstanding resident satisfaction through consistent, positive, and professional interactions.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 maintenance support.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Experience in plumbing, electrical work, appliance repair, mechanical tasks, drywall repairs, carpentry, and pool/spa maintenance.
  • High school diploma or relevant vocational training and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Familiarity with operating tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and riding equipment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including paid on-call hours.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with HVAC systems and/or EPA certification.
  • Prior experience in hotel, commercial, or apartment maintenance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to bend, twist, and perform repetitive hand movements.
  • Reach above shoulder level and engage in pushing and pulling activities.
