Fenway Health Behavioral Health Specialist Job Description

Fenway Health is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to join our interdisciplinary team. This dynamic position provides integrated services to medical patients, coordinates referrals to community resources, and supports quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct behavioral health treatment to medical patients through a short-term, evidence-based psychotherapeutic treatment model within the primary care setting.
  • Respond to requests from primary care staff for routine and crisis interventions.
  • Manage caseload while maintaining same-day or next-day appointment availability to respond to urgent needs related to diversion or crisis work.
  • Inform patients about community resources and conduct outreach to encourage client utilization.
Requirements:
  • Masters in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling.
  • LCSW or LMHC licensure.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to multitask required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • LICSW.
  • Experience with CBT, short-term interventions, and mental health and substance abuse assessment and evaluation.
  • Interest in or experience with LGBT and HIV issues.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
