CorVel MCO Claims Consultant

The MCO Claims Consultant plays a crucial role in supervising the performance and updates of the claims department. This position entails managing and maintaining an assigned Book of Business (BoB) that consists of lower premium employers. The consultant acts as the main point of contact for employers and injured associates, streamlining the intake process and collaborating closely with Account Managers to ensure an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain retention of the assigned Book of Business
  • Conduct intake and triage activities
  • Ensure compliance with capacity statistics
  • Engage in telephonic communication with the Book of Business
  • Oversee weekly management of MoD
  • Travel may be necessary
  • Possess knowledge of BWC Discount Programs
  • Function in a consultant-like capacity with EOR
  • Resolve conflicts and address problems effectively
  • Collaborate with Account Managers
  • Generate ad hoc reports
  • Participate in additional projects as assigned
Required Knowledge & Skills:
  • Exceptional Customer Service Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office)
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in the industry
Compensation:

$25.69 per hour
