PROPERTY CLAIMS ADJUSTER ROLE:
As a property claims adjuster, you will be responsible for managing property claims that necessitate field assessments and evaluations. Your role will involve building strong relationships with policyholders while collaborating with agents, underwriters, contractors, restoration service providers, and industry experts. A thorough understanding of your designated area, including its geography, regulations, and the insurance and legal environment, is essential. Adjusters may operate from company claims offices or remotely.
- Obtain and maintain necessary adjuster licenses
- Conduct field investigations for personal property claims
- Address business interruption aspects of claims
- Facilitate negotiations for claim settlements
- Detect and report suspicious claims
- Implement management strategies to reduce losses and expenses
