Environmental Geotechnical Specialist

We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to assist in various projects, including landfill design evaluations, site investigations, and environmental compliance reviews. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering and a Professional Engineering license. The position will initially be part-time or contract-based, with potential for full-time employment.
Responsibilities and Duties- Evaluate soil and groundwater monitoring programs to ensure compliance with Federal laws such as the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and similar state laws.
- Prepare tables, maps, and figures to support project deliverables.
- Collaborate with scientific and engineering professionals in a team environment.
- Develop and implement effective solutions to meet project requirements.
- Applicant must possess at least a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
- Applicant should have at least 5 years of professional experience.
- Preferably have experience working with groundwater flow and contaminant transport models.
- Experience with statistical evaluations is a plus.
- US citizenship is required.
SC&A is a small business providing environmental consulting services to federal, state, and local government agencies, as well as the private sector. Our expertise includes environment, health, and safety; radiological and nuclear safety and security; climate adaptation; air quality; and emergency management and preparedness.
Candidates must pass a background screening prior to employment. SC&A maintains its status as an at-will employer and does not accept third-party applications or agency inquiries.
