About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic engineering student to join our East Region Dams Practice as a Geotechnical Dam Safety Engineering Summer Intern. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of experienced professionals on a variety of dam engineering projects across the East region.

As a Geotechnical Dam Safety Engineering Summer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on projects including design, analysis, inspection, construction observation, and regulatory compliance activities associated with dams. You will also have the chance to work with multi-disciplinary teams on various projects related to dams and other hydraulic structures.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support for projects including design, analysis, inspection, construction observation, and regulatory compliance activities associated with dams.
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams on various projects related to dams and other hydraulic structures.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel for project work part-time as needed.
  • Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member.
Qualifications

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis/interest in Geotechnical Engineering with the intent to continue after the internship, unless graduating.

Candidates must have completed three years of study in their program.

Valid U.S. Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.

Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.
