About the Role

MGS Mfg. Group is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to join our team at the Germantown Manufacturing facility. As a key member of our EHS team, you will be responsible for developing, deploying, and continuously improving programs and systems that support environmental, health, and safety excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and health within the organization.
  • Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents, and develop recommendations to prevent reoccurrences.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure employees are aware of and comply with EHS policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on EHS metrics, including incident rates, injury frequencies, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, management, and regulatory agencies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental science, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant EHS experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make sound conclusions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence team engagement and drive decision-making.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of state and federal regulatory standards, including OSHA and EPA regulations.
