Position Overview:

The Electrical Controls Engineer will play a pivotal role in enhancing manufacturing processes and overall productivity. This position is essential in aligning with the Corporate WIN Strategy by developing and assessing innovative methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and assess new manufacturing processes while improving existing capabilities and efficiencies.
  • Formulate creative solutions to intricate engineering and production challenges through advanced manufacturing techniques.
  • Conduct thorough process analyses and collaborate with suppliers and production teams to gather insights.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies and Lean manufacturing principles to optimize production areas.
  • Enhance manufacturing workflows by analyzing space requirements and equipment layouts, ensuring effective cross-team collaboration.
  • Design and implement testing methods to assure product and process quality, establishing standards to validate manufacturing requirements.
  • Utilize statistical methods to identify root causes of failures, leading to potential design or process modifications.
  • Evaluate capital equipment investments and manage the execution of related projects.
  • Design tooling and fixtures for new products, collaborating with vendors for optimal solutions.
  • Identify and implement strategies to address safety, quality, productivity, and cost challenges.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation for new processes and engineering protocols, summarizing analytical findings.
  • Share expertise with colleagues and represent the company on various projects.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering or Technology discipline with 5-7 years of related experience.
  • Proficient in mathematics and experienced with CAD software.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on capabilities for independent project work.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and project management tools is preferred.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality systems is advantageous.
