We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at American Foods Group in Yankton, SD. As a Mechanical Engineer Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and locate parts/part numbers from machinery or equipment manuals or parts catalogs.
- Perform basic welding and identify good and bad welds.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly and building systems operate efficiently.
- Assemble, install, or repair plumbing and equipment to keep machines and mechanical equipment in repair.
- Assemble, disassemble, repair, or replace defective equipment or parts.
- Perform basic hydraulics and complete necessary paperwork in EAM system.
- Basic knowledge of electrical components and operation.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Prior experience using hand and power tools, precision measuring tools, and ability to read and work from drawings and blueprints.
- Must be able to successfully complete training in Safe Quality Food (SQF), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Food defense, Lock out/tag out, Pallet Jack, and Scissor lift.
