Vishay Intertechnology Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing custom magnetics for various applications, including aerospace, industrial, military, medical, and automotive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop custom magnetics, including transformers, inductors, and coils, to meet customer specifications and requirements.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide technical leadership in areas of electrical, mechanical, thermal, and safety agency requirements.
  • Independently perform complex engineering work, including design, development, and testing of magnetics.
  • Direct technicians and production personnel in the completion of sample builds, qualification builds, and evaluation of materials and processes.
  • Maintain knowledge of the competitive status in the field for magnetics and distribute pertinent information to relevant areas.
  • Travel to customers, other manufacturing locations, material, and equipment suppliers as needed.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience as a design engineer in magnetics and/or switch mode power supply design.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Must be a US person due to ITAR product restrictions.
