Job Summary

Didlake, Inc. is seeking a skilled Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean offices, corridors, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, escalators, break room, library, kitchenette, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
  • Sweep floors using brooms, and mop.
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using a vacuum cleaner.
  • Dust furniture and equipment.
  • Polish metalwork such as fixtures and fittings.
  • Wash walls, ceiling, woodwork, door panels, and sills.
  • Litter collection – includes cigarette butts, food remnants, food wrappers, food containers, beverage containers (bottles, cans, cartons), napkins, paper (including straw wrappers), and any additional solid waste that is on the ground.
  • Empties wastebaskets and transports trash to the disposal area and recycle it to designated areas.
  • Replenishes restroom supplies.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED or 6 months previous custodial work experience.
  • Ability to carry out simple but detailed instructions.
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers.
  • Must possess a positive team member attitude.
  • Ability to interact effectively with employees with disabilities.
  • Ability to work in environments with narrow, moving, and/or slippery surfaces.
  • Small equipment and supplies (both power and mechanical).
