Job Title: General Cleaner / Custodian (Part-time)

St. George Tanaq Corporation is seeking a skilled General Cleaner / Custodian (Part-time) to join our team. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our office buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean floors, rooms, and surfaces, including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows.
  • Clean restrooms and shower rooms, including restocking and refilling dispensers, emptying trash, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, and spot cleaning partition doors and walls.
  • Dust and polish fixtures, tables, and chairs.
  • Set up, stock, and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Monitor and maintain sanitation and organization of assigned areas.
  • Transport dirty linens to the correct area to be cleaned and restock areas with clean linens.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a cleaner, custodian, or janitor in an office or similar environment.
  • Ability to utilize a wide array of custodial chemicals and general cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to safely operate custodial equipment (vacuum, backpack vacuum, cardboard bailer).
  • Effective written communication skills using appropriate business English.
  • Ability to complete and pass the Cleaning Management Institute (CMI) Basic Custodial Technician certification within the first 30 days of employment.
Benefits:
  • Projected hourly pay for this position is $22.
  • This is a Union position. Benefits, vacation, holiday, and sick leave offered will be as defined under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
