Job Summary

Colonial Parking Inc is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, including sweeping, cleaning, and performing other non-technical services as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean dust and cobwebs, pick litter and trash from garages and lots
  • Cut grass and trim bushes on lots
  • Trash collections
  • Hose down garage ramps, floors, stairways, clean pipes, walls, and columns
  • Shovel and clear snow and ice during snow season
  • Hand sweep garages and lots with broom, and walk behind
  • Replace light bulbs and other non-technical services as assigned
  • Perform tasks given to him/her on a timely manner with the pre-established work standards that all jobs are performed with no damage to the property and equipment

Requirements:

  • Ability to use mower, grass cuts tools, walk behind sweepers
  • Utilizing manual cleaning equipment such as brooms, brushes, mops, hose, and snow shovels, etc.
  • Reading and writing comprehension of safety manuals and cleaning chemical instructions

The physical demands of this position and the work environment characteristics described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this position.

Physical Demands: as part of performing the duties associated with this position, the employee may be required for a period of time to stand, walk, sit, use hands-to-fingers, handle tools or controls, reach with hands or arms. Employee must lift and/or move objects up to 40 lbs.

Work Environment: While performing the duties associated with this position, the employee may be subjected to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in this work environment can range from minimal to moderate.
