Director of Facilities Operations

This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the operations of large multi-site hospital and/or health center locations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in facility management, with experience in managing multiple facilities, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage operations of facility management by conducting regular department meetings, ensuring timely delivery of reports, and maintaining a working environment that meets all regulatory compliance.
- Develop and manage capital and operational budgets, ensuring appropriate use of staff, materials, supplies, and vendors.
- Ensure financial performance of areas managed, including attaining expense budgets and cost containment targets.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff, including holding regular staff meetings and conducting or sponsoring education.
- Develop and maintain an ongoing communication plan with staff, leadership, and customers.
- Ensure continued accreditation, renewal of licenses, and adherence to rules and guidelines set forth by applicable regulatory agencies.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership experience in hospital maintenance/medical equipment operations management.
- Professional designation, licensure, or certification preferred (e.g., CHFM, CHC, PE).
- Construction experience, safety, and security experience preferred.
- Strong financial and operational management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
