Job Description

Markon Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to provide Owner's Representative construction management services to a DoD client.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the engineering and design efforts related to pre-construction, including studies and designs for new construction, renovations, and improvements to real property facilities.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise in managing and overseeing studies and designs, including MEP utility systems.
  • Support project managers who manage awarded construction projects, including coordinating efforts across Government working groups.
  • Conduct design technical reviews from initial concept to 100% design drawings, track and maintain submittal review process.
  • Independently schedule, lead, and participate in weekly project progress meetings and monthly program progress meetings to evaluate schedule progress and identify departures from the accepted baseline schedule.
Requirements:
  • BS in Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience or 15+ years of experience in the design/construction or operations of chillers, cooling towers, controls, pumps, fans, air handling equipment, and heat exchangers with a Professional Engineer (PE) License.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass and maintain a Public Trust clearance (HSPD-12 fingerprint background check).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pentagon WHS experience is highly sought after.
