Job Summary:
As a Power Mechanic Level A at Estes Express, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of diesel engines, trucks, and forklifts. Your duties will include inspecting, troubleshooting, and diagnosing equipment issues, as well as performing maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect and diagnose equipment issues
• Perform maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, trucks, and forklifts
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance

Requirements:
• High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED)
• 18+ years of age
• Minimum of one-year experience and/or completion of trade school
• Ability to use hand tools and test equipment
• Must have own tools
• Must know general repairs and PM criteria
• Should have specific knowledge of heavy truck repairs in a commercial environment
• Must possess the ability to keep up with changing technology and updates
• Possess mechanical ability and interest in engines, electronics, and precision equipment
• Must possess the strength and stamina required to work with heavy equipment and work in awkward positions

Physical Demands:
The physical demands of this job include lifting and/or moving a minimum of 70 lbs, standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. The employee may be required to work in high/precarious places, with hazardous materials, and in various weather conditions.

Work Environment:
The work environment at Estes Express is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on safety and efficiency. The employee will be required to work in a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and management. The noise level in the work environment ranges from quiet to loud as required by the essential functions of the job.

Pay Range:
$38.15/hour
