Aerospace Engineering Manager

Job Summary:The Sr. Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in the development and implementation of complex aircraft systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and testing of aircraft systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on design objectives, specifications, and project timelines
- Coordinate the integration of new design efforts into existing aircraft systems, ensuring compatibility and functionality
- Serve as the primary technical interface between the onsite engineering team and other departments, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain
- Ensure that all stakeholders are informed of project progress and any issues that may arise
- Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during testing and design integration processes
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study
- Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practice
- Extensive experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools, analysis, and simulation
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in an engineering role, with a focus on aircraft systems, testing, and design coordination
- Proven experience working in a liaison role or similar, coordinating between multiple departments or teams
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems, testing procedures, and design principles
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance
- Typically 6-8 years of relevant leadership and/or technical management experience
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Experience leading a multi-disciplinary design and development team and communicating with program management and customers
- Experience with test equipment and instrumentation used in aircraft testing
- Familiarization with FAA certification (conformity, compliance documentation, etc)
- Familiarity with preparation and development of project estimates, technical proposals, and program cost and schedule management
