Position Overview: Quality Engineer

The role is essential in supporting the comprehensive quality framework of the plant while collaborating with suppliers and clients to achieve organizational goals in product innovation and enhancement of current offerings. This position requires effective problem analysis and solution provision for both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain quality documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures for production.

· Revise Quality Assurance Procedures and Instructions to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and AS13100 standards.

· Conduct internal audits and propose quality system enhancements to align with established quality benchmarks (ISO 9001:2015 & AS9100D).

· Oversee product inspection control plans.

· Identify quality requirements to fulfill customer expectations effectively.

· Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to ensure adherence to quality protocols and maintain up-to-date documentation. Implement changes based on quality assessments.

· Prepare and submit First Article Inspection documentation to clients.

· Utilize knowledge of statistical process control concepts, including variation, control, and process capability.

· Investigate non-conformances and support manufacturing and engineering teams in determining effective corrective measures.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

· Proficient in ISO 9001:2015, AS 9100D, and AS13100 standards.

· Familiarity with statistical process control concepts such as variation, stability, and process capability.

· Preferred experience in the metal cutting and fabrication sector.

· Competence in using dimensional inspection tools and coordinate measurement machines.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, Minitab, PC-DMIS, MeasurLink, Unipoint Quality modules, and Job Boss ERP.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

· Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize under tight deadlines.

· Strong logical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

· Knowledge of quality standards and provisions.

· Familiarity with PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, MSA, Control Plans, etc.

· Six Sigma experience and/or ASQ CQE certification is preferred.

· Background in defense, aerospace, or automotive sectors is advantageous.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

· At least 5 years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing context.

· Experience with GE DSQR and Rolls-Royce SABRe 4 DQR is a plus.

Estimated work hours - 40 hours per week.
