We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic I/II to join our team at Mono County, CA. As a Paramedic I/II, you will be responsible for providing advanced life support and emergency medical services to our community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support treatment to victims, in accordance with California State and ICEMA Region Paramedic Scope of Practice.
- Perform necessary medical treatment and assist in patient extrication from vehicles involved in traffic collisions or accidents.
- Respond to emergency incidents, including fires, explosions, and building collapses.
- Assist with emergency incident rehabilitation on the fire ground as assigned.
- Perform or assist in over-the-side rescues of victims as trained.
- Knowledge of Paramedic Scope of Practice as defined and required by the State of California.
- BLS and ALS protocols as required by the local emergency medical services agency (ICEMA).
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Emergency medical techniques.
- Rescue techniques.
- Defensive driving.
- Vehicle and equipment maintenance.
- Recordkeeping procedures and methods.
- Minimum of six months of previous full-time paramedic experience.
- Minimum of six months of employment with Mono County as a Paramedic-I.
- Possession of valid Paramedic accreditation from ICEMA.
- Possession of a valid Paramedic License from the State of California.
- Possession of a valid Driver's license.
- Possession of a valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) card from American Heart Association.
- Possession of a valid Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS) card from American Heart Association, American Red Cross Professional Rescuer CPR card or equivalent.
- Possession of a valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) card from American Heart Association.
