Job Summary

The NYCDCC Benefit Funds are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Welfare Eligibility Associate to join their team. As a key member of the Welfare department, this individual will be responsible for verifying eligibility for the Funds' Welfare insurance programs and assisting Union members, retirees, and their dependents with their benefits coverage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit weekly eligibility files for accuracy and completeness
  • Review relevant forms and documents for accuracy and ensure all necessary information is received
  • Determine coverage by examining Fund records and updating member information in the database
  • Assist members and retirees with eligibility and enrollment, ensuring proper enrollment with third-party vendors
  • Track the eligibility dates of dependents and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in health and welfare benefit plan administration
  • Experience in a multi-employer environment, preferably with electronic data interchange systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Knowledge of ISSI systems or benefit administration systems, with a strong ability to learn new systems
  • Proficient in MS Excel
What We Offer

The NYCDCC Benefit Funds offer a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $57,000, depending on relevant skills, education, and experience. A generous and competitive benefit package is also included.
