Vascular Technologist Level I

We are seeking a highly skilled Vascular Technologist Level I to join our team at ChristianaCare. As a Vascular Technologist, you will be responsible for performing non-invasive vascular testing and procedures, working closely with our interpreting vascular physicians to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform all phases of non-invasive peripheral vascular testing, including ultrasound imagers, treadmill, segmental limb pressure, and pulse volume recordings.
- Operate all vascular equipment, including ultrasound machines, and ensure proper identification of films.
- Evaluate studies for technical quality and correlate with other modalities when appropriate.
- Recognize characteristic changes related to age spans and chronic disease, and differentiate user-created artifact from patient pathology.
- Explain the test to patients, answer their questions, and maintain professional ethics and confidentiality.
- Make patients comfortable, ensure their safety, and attend to their needs during procedures.
- Participate in the Quality Assurance Program, assist with policy and procedure development, and pursue ongoing continuing education.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved program in ultrasound or other allied health profession, or equivalent training.
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credential or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) certification.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
- Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, and pushing of heavy equipment, including ultrasound machines.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, lift, push, pull, carry, reach, twist, handle, stoop, and bend.
- Ability to assist patients to and from stretchers.
