Vascular Interventional Radiology Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Interventional Technologist to join our team at ChristianaCare. As a Vascular Interventional Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians during vascular interventional radiology procedures.
Responsibilities:- Provide technical support for vascular interventional radiology procedures, including arteriograms, embolization's, drain insertions, and other related procedures.
- Ensure proper safety standards are met for compliance with departmental policies, radiation safety standards, and joint commission regulations.
- Operate required imaging equipment using established guidelines and imaging protocols.
- Instruct students and residents and perform preceptor duties when necessary.
- Perform quality assurance checks on equipment.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of hospital information systems.
- Assist in maintaining supply inventory.
- Assist in departmental Performance Improvement assessments and initiatives.
- Serve as a technical resource to the full procedural team in support of the physician.
- Communicate effectively with good interpersonal skills.
- Act as a team member during procedures to ensure a safe and efficient patient care on a daily basis.
Our Vascular Interventional Technologist will work a rotating schedule, including 3 weeks in the Newark VIR department and 1 week in the Wilmington VIR department. The schedule will include 10-hour shifts, with some late shifts and on-call responsibilities.
Requirements:- Graduate of an approved school of radiologic technology.
- Interventional radiology procedural lab experience preferred.
- Current A.R.R.T registration.
- Current RTR Licensure with State of Delaware.
