Key Responsibilities- Patrol and Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, including buildings and grounds, to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, including medical emergencies, fires, and other crises.
- Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents, including reviewing evidence, interviewing witnesses, and preparing reports.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with hospital staff, patients, and visitors to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in security and emergency response.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in criminal justice or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in police, emergency services, security, or a related field preferred.
- Licensure: Must possess and maintain a valid Massachusetts driver's license.
- Certifications: Must obtain and maintain certifications in De-Escalation Training, Healthcare Defensive Tactics System, Handcuff Tactics, Pepper Spray Defense, First Aid/CPR/AED, C-Spine Immobilization, HazMat Levels 1, 2 & 3, and International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Basic Officer Certification.
