Are you passionate about enhancing educational experiences for children? Zen Educate is seeking dedicated educators who are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of students in the Greater Denver area. We are currently looking for Special Education Paraprofessionals to assist licensed teachers in addressing academic adaptations, self-care, and social/behavioral needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Case Manager for students with mild to moderate or moderate to severe disabilities.
  • Provide support to families as needed through various communication channels, ensuring flexibility for an independent study environment.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from parents, students, teachers, staff, and administration, within a 24-hour timeframe during the work week.
  • Collaborate effectively within the special education team and across departments in a professional manner.
  • Coordinate with all service providers for students on your caseload to ensure that services are delivered effectively.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal and state documentation and IEP timelines.
  • Oversee IEP due dates and scheduling, ensuring full team attendance and participation.
  • Distribute approved provider reports to parents prior to IEP meetings.
  • Draft and manage IEPs for all students on your caseload using SEIS, submitting drafts for administrative review.
  • Monitor and facilitate the timely collection of electronic signatures.
  • Complete IEP Progress Reports for each student biannually.
  • Design and prepare instructional lessons for your caseload.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid, current CA SPED education specialist credential.
  • State and federal background clearance (LiveScan) required for working with students.
  • Proof of a clear TB test conducted within the last 60 days, with updates every four years as per education code requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • Previous experience in an educational setting.
  • Experience working with children who have special educational needs.

Additional Requirements:

  • U.S. Work Authorization is necessary; Zen Educate is unable to sponsor employment visas or provide relocation assistance.
  • Proficiency in English is required.

Compensation Details:

  • Pay will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
  • Weekly payment schedule.
