Zen Educate is seeking dedicated educators who are committed to teaching and enhancing the experiences of children in the Greater Denver area. We are currently looking for Special Education Paraprofessionals to fulfill this vital role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Case Manager for students with mild to moderate or moderate to severe disabilities.
  • Be accessible to families as needed, demonstrating flexibility for an independent study environment.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from parents, students, teachers, staff, and administration within 24 hours during the work week.
  • Collaborate effectively with the special education team and across departments in a professional manner.
  • Work in partnership with all service providers for students on your caseload to ensure all services are delivered.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state timelines for documentation and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Monitor IEP due dates and scheduling, ensuring full team attendance and participation.
  • Prepare and email all approved provider reports to parents prior to IEP meetings.
  • Draft and manage IEPs for all students on your caseload in the SEIS system, submitting drafts for administrative review.
  • Ensure timely monitoring and uploading of electronic signatures.
  • Complete IEP Progress Reports for each student biannually.
  • Create and prepare tailored lessons for your caseload.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid and current California Special Education Specialist credential.
  • State and federal background clearance (LiveScan) required for working with students.
  • Proof of a clear TB test dated within the last 60 days upon employment, with updates every four years.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Previous experience working in an educational setting.
  • Experience with children who have special educational needs.

Additional Requirements:

  • U.S. Work Authorization is required; Zen Educate is unable to sponsor employment visas or provide relocation assistance.
  • Proficiency in English is necessary.

Compensation Structure:

  • Compensation for Teacher Assistants will be based on qualifications and experience.
  • Weekly payment schedule.
