This role requires full-time presence on campus for 3 to 5 days each week during the training period, which lasts approximately 4 to 8 weeks. Following training, there may be opportunities to work 3 or more shifts weekly in a hybrid capacity, contingent on staffing requirements. The position operates during daytime hours, Monday through Friday.

As a per diem hybrid Pharmacy Support Specialist within the Cedars-Sinai Medical Network, your primary responsibility will be to assist the Refill Center, pharmacists, and healthcare providers by processing prescription refill requests in CS-Link for evaluation and decision-making by pharmacists.

  • Receive and input refill requests into CS-Link (Epic) for authorization assessment.
  • Document each refill request accurately in the patient's medical record.
  • Monitor outstanding refill requests in CS-Link to ensure timely resolution and completion.

QualificationsEducational Background:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Licensure Requirements:
  • Valid Pharmacy Technician License from the California Board of Pharmacy.
Preferred Experience:
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail, refill, or outpatient pharmacy setting.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to sit, speak, listen, and use hands repetitively.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • May involve lifting up to 25 pounds on occasion.
  • Typical noise levels are moderate, similar to a standard office environment with printers and telephones.
