The Clinical Nurse Manager is tasked with overseeing the delivery of patient care and services. Qualifications and Experience
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution
- Must hold a current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
- A minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience is required, with a preference for experience in geriatric care
Key Responsibilities
- Possess advanced knowledge in nursing practice
- Make independent decisions when necessary
- Familiarity with the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities
- Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, and policies
- Demonstrate proficiency in all competency areas, including patient rights and safety protocols
- Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and vendors
- Ensure confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive information
- Adhere to company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance
- Uphold integrity and professionalism by following the organization's Code of Conduct and completing required training
- Manage and coordinate patient care through effective interpersonal communication, enabling patients to achieve optimal physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being
- Evaluate the quality of care provided to patients on a daily basis
- Guide licensed staff and nursing assistants in prioritizing patient care needs and reporting
- Assess patient requirements and develop comprehensive care plans
- Exhibit outstanding customer service and maintain a positive demeanor towards patients
- Assist in the safe evacuation of patients when necessary
- Demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance
- Utilize reasoning skills and sound judgment in decision-making
- Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- Engage in physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and walking as required during work hours
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
