Position Overview

The Clinical Nurse Manager is tasked with overseeing the delivery of patient care and services. This role emphasizes the promotion of high-quality care through a collaborative approach that coordinates, monitors, and assesses services based on patient needs. The Clinical Nurse Manager works closely with patients and their families, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution
  • Must hold a current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
  • A minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience is required, with a preference for experience in geriatric care
CPR certification is required upon hire or must be obtained during orientation, and it must remain current throughout employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Possess advanced knowledge in nursing practice
  • Make independent decisions when necessary
  • Familiarity with the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities
  • Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, and policies
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all competency areas, including patient rights and safety protocols
  • Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and vendors
  • Ensure confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive information
  • Adhere to company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance
  • Uphold integrity and professionalism by following the organization's Code of Conduct and completing required training
Essential Duties

  • Manage and coordinate patient care through effective interpersonal communication, enabling patients to achieve optimal physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being
  • Evaluate the quality of care provided to patients on a daily basis
  • Guide licensed staff and nursing assistants in prioritizing patient care needs and reporting
  • Assess patient requirements and develop comprehensive care plans
  • Exhibit outstanding customer service and maintain a positive demeanor towards patients
  • Assist in the safe evacuation of patients when necessary
  • Demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance
  • Utilize reasoning skills and sound judgment in decision-making
  • Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Engage in physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and walking as required during work hours
  • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
