Job Summary
The Administrative Specialist role at Natrona County School District #1 is a vital position that requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to provide administrative support to assigned personnel. This position involves representing the district in a professional manner, coordinating activities, and ensuring confidentiality and compliance with financial, legal, and administrative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between assigned areas and internal and external parties to provide excellent customer service and represent the district in a hospitable and professional manner.
- Analyze data from various sources to comply with financial, legal, and administrative requirements of assigned areas in accordance with district policies and guidelines.
- Assist with personnel functions, such as selecting, training, and motivating staff, to support assigned administrators in achieving departmental objectives.
- Attend meetings and training sessions to increase professional knowledge and convey information required to perform functions.
- Collaborate with internal and external parties to organize district events, meetings, and programs in compliance with district policies and guidelines.
- Coordinate programs, activities, and individuals to ensure availability of facilities, equipment, personnel, and volunteers, and that services are implemented and maintained efficiently and effectively.
- Create printed and electronic materials to document activities, provide written support, and convey information.
- Inform personnel regarding procedures and program requirements to provide accurate information, take appropriate action, and comply with financial, legal, and administrative requirements.
- Maintain manual and electronic materials, including confidential documents, files, calendars, and administrative and financial records, to provide up-to-date reference and documentation.
- Maintain inventories of supplies, equipment, and materials to ensure availability of items as needed.
- Manage assigned activities and programs to ensure compliance with administrative, financial, and legal requirements and district confidentiality policies.
- Perform record-keeping and clerical functions to support assigned administrators and departments.
- Process documents and materials, including confidential items, to disseminate information.
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external parties to take appropriate action, interpret and apply policies and procedures, and direct to appropriate personnel for resolution.
Requirements
A high school graduation or GED is required for this position.
