We seek an experienced leader with a proven track record in marketing and communications, fluent in online and offline tools, and able to coach a team on how to create impactful storytelling. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, email, and offline marketing channels, as well as experience in developing marketing materials and brand assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that balance stakeholder needs with engaging and resonant content.
- Manage and coach direct reports, providing regular feedback and guidance.
- Develop and maintain a marketing and communications calendar that reflects institutional priorities.
- Oversee social media presence, website content, paid online and offline media, SEO, email, SMS/messaging, signage, internal publications, multimedia collateral, and other channels/products.
- Strategically manage communication channels and budget in accordance with performance metrics.
- Regularly meet with key stakeholders to prioritize projects and plan for future initiatives.
- Lead by example, emphasizing quality of work, creativity, and respect for others.
- Oversee contractors and vendors.
- Develop analytics to track key programs and review post-production initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of marketing leadership experience developing and leading comprehensive campaigns across digital and traditional mediums.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field.
- Strong process and meeting facilitation skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and lead teams to generate solutions.
- Experience leading teams and working with outside providers.
- Superior capability to manage and deliver multiple projects within budget, schedule, scope, and quality components.
- Experience using digital project management tools.
- Strong presentation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Hands-on proficiency with technology, including digital marketing, social media, email, and offline marketing channels.
- Experience developing marketing materials and brand assets.
- Highly organized individual with strong time-management skills and a commitment to continuous improvement and results.
- Possess a calm and flexible professional attitude, with the ability to process and execute time-sensitive requests.
- Proficiency with designer software, including Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Canva.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- On-campus work only; no hybrid or remote options available.
- Occasional prolonged and irregular hours, work on-call and after hours, including Sundays.
- Prolonged use of computer and repetitive hand motions.
- Frequently moves around the campus.
- Sometimes works in a stressful environment, effectively dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts with the stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions.
