Position Summary:
The YMCA operates as a year-round food sponsor, providing nutritious meals across various locations. We are currently seeking a Program Manager of Sponsored Meals to oversee our initiatives and ensure compliance with state and federal nutrition programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the execution of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).
  • Develop and deliver training materials for site staff, ensuring comprehensive understanding of program requirements.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor compliance and provide technical assistance.
  • Manage the recordkeeping system for SFSP and CACFP, ensuring accurate data reporting.
  • Collaborate with food service vendors to maintain program quality and compliance.
  • Review and approve vendor menus and maintain necessary documentation.
  • Track and submit weekly meal orders to vendors.
  • Ensure effective communication between program sites and food service vendors.
  • Stay informed about changes in federally funded program requirements and communicate updates to all stakeholders.
  • Foster strong partnerships with community sites and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience in program management and understanding of food safety regulations preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle required for site monitoring.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 10 pounds as needed. Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision.

Work Environment:
This is a full-time, in-person role with responsibilities at various program sites.
